What you’ll do
Role Purpose
Manage/Oversees the Mpesa IT Infrastructure Operations, System’s Backups, Archiving & Restore and IT NOC Monitoring.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
•IT – Systems Monitoring and Security Management
•Supplier & Contracts Management
•Hardware Resources acquisition and implementations
•System’s Capacity and demands management.
•Backup, restore and archiving (for Mpesa and IT Systems)
•Storage Capacity Management and Planning for Mpesa
•Operating Systems, Databases and Servers Hardware Management and support as per ITIL Model.
•System’s administration and monitoring (IT NOC Monitoring for all the Systems in IT &Billing)
•Compliance to Cyber Security Policies, Processes, and procedures for Mpesa Infrastructure
•Cloud Infrastructure Management and Support for Mpesa systems
•Vendors Management (SLA’s and Contract Management)
•Assets Life cycle management
•Innovation automation and cost optimization on the processes and daily IT operations on Mpesa Infrastructure
•Execution of the company and Group strategy and deliverables related to MPESA IT Infrastructure
•Providing inputs for budget requirements for Mpesa IT Infrastructure section (Capex and Opex)
•People Management
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge, and skills
•Cloud Computing(Vmware , AWS, Microsoft etc)
•Oracle /MySQL /SQL, RDBMS
•Project Management
•Operating Systems (ESXIs,Windows OS, Unix)
•Centralized storage, Backups and archiving solutions
•IOT (Internet of Things)
•Excellent Analytical and problem solving Skills.
•Curious about automations and artificial intelligence
Must have technical/professional qualifications & Experience
•B.Sc. In Information Technology /computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering
•Minimum 5 years experience in the IT industry
•Management /leadership training (added advantage)
