The AGCO Agriculture Foundation (AAF) is accepting grant applications for the 2022 granting cycle through the Community Investment software partner, Benevity to provide resources to initiate and implement projects that promote sustainable climate solutions for farmers and the agricultural sector which benefits economies while also strengthening community development.
The goal is to identify non-profit organizations with new project proposals which combine various sustainable methods to tackle the specific climate change-related challenges of today’s farming communities.
The climate smart agricultural projects should work towards improving farmer productivity, and as a result, livelihoods; making farms more resilient to climate impacts they’re currently facing, and to those likely to hit in the future.
Focus Areas
The AGCO Agriculture Foundation is seeking to support projects on “Climate Action in the agricultural context” that align with the thematic focus areas:
- Nutrition & Sustainable Food Systems: Food Security, Animal Welfare, Climate Action
- Agricultural Education & Innovation: Advancement of quality Education, Research and Innovation in Agriculture
- Community Development: Advancement of community, particularly development in AGCO communities (include Humanitarian Relief and Climate Action, Volunteering and Skill-based volunteering)
Funding Information
Grant proposals between $20,000 – $300,000 USD is available.
AAF does not Fund Activities
The AAF does not fund activities or programs to benefit:
- Individual for profit organizations (hospitals, hospice programs, etc.)
- Political, religious, labor or fraternal organizations
- Individuals and their personal fundraising efforts
- Groups seeking education, travel or conventions
- Sporting leagues, youth or adult sports teams, clubs, golf tournaments or similar one-off events
- Sales related, marketing, or customer requested fundraising campaigns.
- Schools (unless non-for-profit registered), school districts, individual students, alumni associations, school or parent organizations and activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profit organizations that are registered and recognized as charitable organizations under the law and working in farming communities are eligible to apply for grant funding.
- As part of the application process, applicants are expected to provide a certificate of non-for-profit registration in order to be considered for a grant.
- For the approval process, AAF may reach out for clarification and further documentation on non-profit status if required.
